Pros

Moen monticello valve. This valve is very generous in its range of temperatures and ease of control.

Cons

Appears to be a returned item (no wonder) as a plaster guard screw is missing. Cartridge is bad. Have to replace the cartridge now, can't remove the valve. Drip drip drip.

First pipe i've ever sweat, zero leaks first try.

The plastic cover is chap and the pipe receivers are way too short, which leads to heat trasfer

I like these for outdoor showers but if you spend the money on the finish they can be great for a high end bathroom.

Shipping

Just what i needed and came fast.

Got it in a timely fashion did the job easy to install

Called moen and they sent free replacement in 2 days.

We haven't installed it yet in my new shower but the price is fantastic and the shipping was quick.

Packaging/appearance

Didn't have to cut the tile and the oversized cover that i got looks really nice.

Competitiveness

While they valve still is current, moen has moved to a more universal valve that uses cheaper potentially more trouble prone cartridges.

For some reason i chose moen 2520 for our current bath remodels.
