If you open the valve part ways it holds that partially open setting yes i have bought some cheaper faucets that can not do that when you only partially open the tap it closes itselfmy favorite feature is the momentary stop button

Be aware unlike other high arc single lever faucets this one does not have a 3 hole cover plate to convert to use in a three hole application
