The puck was easy to pair with the app, and it includes a battery that lasts up to a couple of years.
The initial setup was somewhat tricky - it refused to pair after several attempts.
I have 3 sensors and it’s gone through 12 batteries in a year.
Price
I was a little hesitant as this unit was more expensive, but i was impressed with this sensor.
I've been looking around for a battery operated water sensor, this one was a little on the pricey side.
The sensors are expensive but the battery cost is even more.
Competitiveness
I selected this unit as it connects to wifi (not bluetooth as other unit mostly do).
I purchased this water sensor after trying a different brand that did not connect to wifi for me.

Having your heat go out or an undetected water leak is awful so while these detectors are a little pricey i think its a worthwhile investment especially if youre away from home regularly

I will say that the setup app and pairing process was way fussier than it needs to be

I bought an ecobee thermostat and that was way easier to set up and i had to wire that thing to a furnace

Battery life seems great virtually no change in the last three months and its nice that the app reports a more precise reading than just 34good34 or 34low34

Itd be nice if using the remote sensor didnt block the ability to use the base units sensors so you could monitor a wider area but the cable on the remote sensor is long enough that you should be able to find a good monitoring position

The earlier you can respond to an emergency the less damage youll likely have to deal with
