The hose has to be non-metal, as it would grind and wear on the 'big spring' and eventually damage the finish - and it would be noisy.

Over the years i've tried all the other brands, and always come back to moen being the best overall.
I bought this for the kitchen, not realizing that the bronzed gold would be different than the brushed gold.
I've been replacing my original faucets, room by room, with moen's brushed gold faucets.

I just installed this model and am a little confused about reviews talking about it being all plastic and the hose is not steel

The installation was very easy since there was minimal work securing the faucet to the countertop

A quick wipe will clear them off but again that is if you wipe it down after every use
