The installation * has a lot of options for placing screws. The supplied screws are suitable stainless steel. Use stud finder on area above tile to find studs.

Beautiful and sturdy grab bar. They are exactly what we needed for the large garden tub area in the master bathroom. If anchored to proper blocking inside the wall these grab bars are very sturdy.

Couldn't be happier with this product and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Having the right tool for the job is the difference between project completion, and a messy, disaster. For this purpose it is well suited and designed.

Cons

Cannot be installed horizontally on 16” framing. Installation video that shows the bar being mounter on a hollow wall is deceptive. Really there should just be an exposed screw or two to hold it on.

Using in the shower, nice and sturdy

The stainless steel screws were much too soft when using a too-tight 1/8 inch pilot hole, and the philips heads were easily destroyed.

I can see sliping and grabbing this, it not holding is going to hurt.
