Pros & Cons
Pros
This garbage disposal is quiet and quick to grind food. The grinding action is quite powerful, courtesy of the 3/4 hp high-speed vortex permanent magnet motor. This one grinds very efficiently.
Moen gxb75c control activation 3/4 hp garbage disposal with safer controlled grinding. This disposal has a batch feed function that makes using it safer than the old-style continuous feed disposal. This is the first disposal i have seen in a while tha... Read More
The stopper has a skinny slot and a wide slot. In one position it allows water to drain but will catch utensils and pretty much everything else that's not liquid. Having the stopper in the sink and depressed fully means that it's a lot quieter.
Cons
Will be returning this defective product. What a horrific design. Clearly a return - there were fingerprints on the steel part.
Highlights
Quality
I am happy with this product and would recommend it.
We're happy with the new unit and the way it disposes of the garbage.
2) with the stopper in place the water doesn’t drain fast enough.
But it bothered me that when i had the stopper in place with the opening that let it drain, the water didn’t drain quickly or properly.
Price
There was some cost savings and i would get a higher horsepower.
Packaging/appearance
Was easy enough to do, since i simply reused the in-sinkerator fitting on the sink.
But i found it odd, the safety feature that prevents it running unless this piece is inserted in the drain.
In the second position it acts as a stopper when you want to fill up your sink and does not allow liquid to flow down the drain.
Competitiveness
I’ve had an insinkerator disposal in our kitchen sinks for decades.
I'm glad it provided both wired or hardwire options.
I'm afraid they will hurt themselves using the current kenmore 1hp garbage disposal that sometimes get clogged up and stops spinning.
6 inches, not any larger than other 3/4 hp disposals.
