The plastic part that stops the valve from turning needed to be filed to remove about 116 inch to allow it to turn enough to completely shut off

Initially we though the home depot version was a cheaper plastic version

One last note our installer did not check the cold and hot lines so initially the control was reversed

She emailed me a list of compatible kits told me which cartridge to get and also that a moen cartridge pulling tool is also necessary depending on what you’re replacing
