The plastic bracket is impossible to remove the bars, etc. The bars are also very skinny in diameter. The little plastic tab is near impossible to line up and snap in.

This one is not. Disappointing for sure. Not any to safe. Thankfully, amazon has a great return policy.

Avoid all moen accessories using this idiotic mounting system. The mounting system is one of the most pathetic pieces of engineering i have encountered.

Instead of a metal set screw to adjust the orientation of the mounting bracket, it has a cheap plastic tab which is almost impossible to adjust. This towel rod is a piece of junk.
