It's flexible and has better gripability than the tablet alone. Better grip than the kindle fire plastic. One flaw is that it is not as pretty as before.

It really is a great case that is secure good looking and does a good job at protecting the case but it has one flaw the surface is slick enough that its hard to hold one handed

I ended up sanding the back of the case with 80 grit sandpaper to scar the surface for a better grip
