Theres plastic protecting the edges of the kindle but the cover for the screen is just flimsy cardboard

I trust it to prevent things from touching and breaking the superdelicate screen but not for anything to be put on top of it

The bits of metal for the closure are also just wedged in there and had to be glued back in after a while

The magnets itself are very strong and i love whenever you open the cover it activates the screen too
