    I will say that i didnt submerge them but they did prevent any splashing and sunscreen from getting on that stuff

    With that said when you need to pull something out if this isnt hanging with the clips vertical above it the clips will get in the way when you are trying to latch it closed

    If you dont use the lanyard no problems i kept the lanyard but might use a carabiner instead as i dont think that will get in the way and will meet my need for securing it
