Glass screen protectors are the only way to go imo for preventing impact damage. Fit the galaxy tab a8 screen perfectly. Arrived fairly fast and no air bubbles.

The notch in the protector is exactly positioned to leave uncovered the camera aperture and light sensor hiding next to it so as not to interfere with their operation

The glass protector will take the hit instead of the device screen

But they are difficult to install without getting a speck or a bubble under the glass or having it slightly off centre which causes edges to not seal properly to the screen
