However not sure why this happens but on some 30w chargers or chargers that have an odd wattage installing this little adapter reduces the actual voltage effectively triggering the adapter to charge at a slightly lower wattage

At first i though maybe the cable or charger was going bad however using other usb cables with wattage displays already built in does not trigger lower voltage charging on some chargers

This does not really effect the higher wattage chargers but the chargers that are borderline fast charging vs super fast charging capable so to speak may be effected

The refresh rate of these as well is quite fast so seeing wattage changes is pretty instant compared so some slower refresh rate displays that dont update as fast

For one thing they are showing a 5v charge from my desktop charger even when nothing is plugged into them

I tried them with a voltage meter and they are close but not quite accurate

They arent too far off maybe half a volt so i dont think it should really matter for most devices
