The top band in my photo is the original garmin strap which has a reassuring click when fitted to the watch but the one supplied does not have the white plastic insert but appears to be moulded as part of the silicone strap which is of course soft and that’s why garmin use an insert

I could not get it to fit with any confidence that it wouldn’t separate from the watch in use meaning i would risk losing the watch

Have ordered a different type now
