Since i already had a good quality 6' dvi and hdmi cables, this was a perfect product to mate them.
I've found that the quality is at least as good and the price often 80% cheaper.
Other than that it is an excellent product.

I bought this in conjunction with an hdmi to hdmi cable and the total was 6 dollar or so plus shipping.

It can be used to conver your digital input computer monitor into a video tv or game input in order to improve it as a normal tv screen

The adapter works perfectly and allows me to take the hdmi output from a laptop and put it on a somewhat older samsung monitor which only has vga and dvid connections via the dvid input
