Pros & Cons

Pros

The bottomline is that this brand of audio cable, monoprice, is superior to most other brands available on amazon. With older onkyo receiver and vintage sony discman. Moved rca from cd at receiver to tape-in on receiver and now works fine.

Cable is sturdy and doesn't coil up. This cable even weighs a lot, because of its sturdy construction.

Cons

This thing is overbuilt. Only really good if it's gonna sit somewhere and not have to move much. Not worth the hassle for the price of the cable.

It is a bit too chunky for use in my car. The rca connectors are a little small? But then i find that since the cables are so thick, they arent very pliable, so changing the angle of the cable can sometimes pull the connector out of the socket.

Price

For around 8 bucks this is a pretty good product.

Good value for the money, works well with no issues.

Speaking of 'the price' - don't spend $500 on short-throw audio cables.

People spend hundreds of dollars on audio cables and nothing comes out of it.

Shipping

Monoprice shipped me a new cable free of charge (solved the issue) and included coupons for doordash and some clothing brands!

Competitiveness

I tried this one (shall remain nameless) fancy brand and could not tell the difference with my denon/klipsch setup.

Hopefully this review can help others resolve a similar issue without having to blame the cable/monoprice.
