Pros

Works as advertised. Fast delivery. Thanks mono and amazon.

Four conductor copper fit the need. Perfect for rv and golf cart. Worth it to have real copper wire and not the copper-clad aluminum.

Only complaint is the white casing is a little larger then it needs to be. Love the color coated positive and negative. Perfect for alarms, telephones, audio, etc.

Comes with thin nylon string embedded to pull and cut back white sheath. Not too thick. Great for running long distance to back surround klipsch speakers.

Cl wire to connect sonos amp (connect:amp) to sonance outdoor speakers (mariner 64) used to power 2 yamaha outdoor speakers. Used this speaker wire to hook up some outdoor bose speakers to a sonos amp inside the house.

Cons

This is my second spool ordered and bot ends broken off and the wire uncoiled. Both the outer sleeve, and the individual wire insulation is very weak. It makes the individual conductors inside show and makes the cable look ropy.

In 20 years ordering from monoprice, this is the first time i have encountered such poor product. It feels flimsy and cheaply made.

I bought cca wire first, but i didn’t like the wire so i changed it to the solid copper which is a much nicer product.

Used monoprice 14awg cl2 through for in-ceiling and in-wall martin logan speakers.
