Pros
The female connector is used to plug the audio source into. The altec lansing vs2124 has a headphone jack that i'll use for headphone listening from either the monitor or the laptop.
The splitter looks and feels good in your hand, and it is fully shielded so you don't pick up electric noises. Excellent build quality, worth every penny. Would recommend it.
This splitter allows me to do just that. Works perfectly. Works like a charm.
Cons
The output impedance of an audio source is usually pretty low, a few ohms. Anything below 100 ohm appears to cause grief. The connections are flaky and the left side audio cut out randomly.
This isn't returnable and doesn't work. Product itself is garbage, the connectors can unscrew themselves.

Note this is for an older gm radio that has rca inputs on the back of the radio

This cord takes a stereo signal and splits it into two stereo signals or in my case takes the stereo signal from whichever male end is plugged in and feeds it to the female end
