Quality
The image quality is good and i've seen no real issues with degradation.
The build quality is very sturdy with a metal casing and rubberized feet.
The picture and sound quality is excellent.
So i forked over the extra money for the monoprice.
Price
Price was a little steep for what you get but it is exactly what we needed.
There aren't a lot of choices and the price is pretty intimidating, but at least this provides a solid option.
The price point alone makes this a an absolute buy.
Shipping
Oversize shipping bag with a damaged cardboard container.
Packaging/appearance
It was able to withstand the poor packaging that it was sent in.
Competitiveness
This includes six gaming consoles (xbox one, xbox 360, ps4, ps3, ps2 (with component->hdmi upscaler), nintendo switch) and a roku stick.
This would be a 5-star review if it weren't for those darn leds.

This unit does what it says it does it switches between 8 different inputs

The remote is ir so presumably you could program switching functions into a universal remote

The unit is externally powered as expected with this many inputs but unlike smallercheaper switchers it can be turned off when not in use

Another annoying thing is that they scroll between 1 through 8 when no input has been selected

The other issue i have is that there is no autodetection

As it stands this unit will only switch when the device in question is already on and i press the correct input number on either the unit or the remote

But for inputs 28 it can be slightly annoying to have to fumble for the little remote and press the button just to get the image to come up

For a device that costs 100 or more youd think autodetect would be a standard feature someone would want
