Pros & Cons
Pros
Just bought 500 ft for basement remodel. No problems installed in large dump trucks 2 years ago. And a pickup last year.
Comes with thin nylon string embedded to pull and cut back white sheath. Strands are just the right thickness.
The stranded wire is perfect on the rv and the golf cart. Worth it to have real copper wire and not the copper-clad aluminum. This is wire, it’s copper, it works well and is conveniently packaged.
Used to power 2 yamaha outdoor speakers. Used 14/2 cl wire to connect sonos amp (connect:amp) to sonance outdoor speakers (mariner 64) rewired my car audio with these.
Cons
In 20 years ordering from monoprice, this is the first time i have encountered such poor product. It feels flimsy and cheaply made. Packaging is diff and doesnt say oxygen free copper.
Both the outer white sheathing and the insulation on the individual wires is much thinner now. Shrink wrap is only over the wire and not the spool ends, so any bounces and both snap off.
