The part that actually joins the monitor to the arm is plastic thats the only reason i did not rate it 5 stars

I would not recommend it for a heavy monitor on a desk that is thinner than 34 unless youre implementing a spacer for reinforcement

I would not recommend this mount if you need to constantly adjust your monitor tilt
