Works fine going from displayport to usbc, did not try going from usbc to display port.

My monitor is the mac endorsed lg 24" monitor with only thunderbolt (usb c) input.

It may be overkill but it at least works.

This was a cheap and effective way of getting that working.

I you are using a thinkvision m14 monitor, you have to plug the other usb port to usb power delivery charger or port.
