    If this was solid conductor i imagine it would be much to stiff so stranded works great solid is generally used for infrastructurein wallsits stiffer stranded is generally used for patch cablesmore pliablebends nicer this cable is stiff because of the double jacketinsulation for protectionoutdoor use

    If youre intending to shortencustomize length and use with patch panel or punch down keystone jack you might be better off crimping this cable to rj45 and using inline coupler
