I liked them so much that when i bought a new house last oct, i bought another plate with the speakers to install in the new bathroom.
The binding posts are of acceptable but not great quality.
Better quality as it relates to what i've seen at the stores.
Price
Good price, i used my own faceplates to match the outlets.
They are indeed gold plated which is a miracle at this price.
Competitiveness
It was easy enough to readjust the binding posts from the backside using a 13mm (1/2) wrench.
They are the best value for the price.
This speaker connection wall plate is an excellent, well-made product (as always from monoprice).

If you plan on removing these from their supplied wall plates be aware that a standard wall plate wont work

The wall plate arrived with two red binding posts on the long edge and the two black on the opposite long edge

By default the wires would come straight out the sides at a 90degree angle
