Pros & Cons
Pros
The monoprice mp mini sla printer is small and relatively quiet. The printer has an unusual self-leveling feature that makes it easier to get good prints. The only major downside is the wifi printing.
Resin printing is more labor intense than printing using a filament-based printer. It prints smaller objects with a lot finer detail than filament printers. Software used:slic3r for sla ( included on the sd card w/ printer profile) custom scanned 3d m... Read More
Cons
This causes the platform to orbit slightly, which is how you end up with banding in the prints. The z axis seems to just have stripped itself and sticks at certain points causing not only fails but a full clean up and a lot of head scratching.
Changing fep is always tedious. This was not just tedious, it was a terrible design that destined you for failure. No wifi, internet software is terrible, you have to update wireframe.
The only thing i can print with any success are really small items, like 20mm cubed or less. The wifi slicing is horrendously slow. The slicing software is also hot garbage.
The rest is an exercise in futility. This one is a dud. And flashed and flashed. And flashed some more.
Highlights
Quality
Once you apply the fixes and install the firmware updates the quality of the prints increase dramatically.
Easy to use, built with quality (besides one cable inside which seems very fragile), excellent prints.
I personally don't believe this to be true, instead it's more of a cheap-because-it-has-no-frills sort of product.
They were very quick, knowledgable, and practically effortless to work with.
Packaging/appearance
Packaging wise its held in place very well.
Competitiveness
The self adjusting magnetic build plate is superior in design and construction than competitors, and the dual rail z axis is robust.
I must have gotten lucky, as so far mine has printed like a champ.
The printer is a lot smaller than i expected, and has a much smaller imprint than my creality.
I have a monoprice select mini and i wanted to step up and go for resin printing since they can print at a better quality.
