Cons

Monoprice xlr microphone cable is not 16 awg. Connectors are too large or the coating is too thick. If you need a 16awg microphone, get a proco or hosaconnector.

Stick to monster or even local store brand generics. It's my own fault for trusting the brand and not looking closely at my meters while recording, but so it goes. Listen to the bad reviews and steer clear of this junk.
