I'm not sure what these reviewers had but it seems pretty weird that all i had was rf noise like crazy and they somehow didn't have that problem.

I a/b’d them against se8 and at a casual level, they sound nearly as good.
Leave phantom off and yeah, they're not going to work well at all!
Condenser microphones *require* phantom power to operate.
So be prepared to use these far from any computer/etc with a properly grounded preamp if you want to get the best out of them.
Price
Incredible price for these microphones, perfect for overhead for mic’ing drums
Hard to believe they work this well, as cheap (cost-rise, not quality) as they were.
But i’d be surprised if someone could tell them apart from mics that cost 10x more in a full mix.

For those who have mentioned rf interference i’ve noticed that this only occurs when recording audio in stereo

In mono the rf interference is minimal and typically only happens if you touch the recorder or the mic
