While i don’t see a benefit to replacing a lot of outlets in the house with smart outlets it can be really helpfulnice for outlets where you want a timer function or the ability to turn something onoff via the outlet when you’re not home or with an amazon echo or a google home device

It is definitely a negative that you cannot control the led independently

If the outlet box is not secured this would pose a significant problem due to shifting the outlet around in the wall

Because the outlet is a bit bulky the contacts and screws are slightly set into the plastic molding in a shallow channel

It hooked right up to the wifi and hasn’t dropped off at all
