Pros

Tender juicy and flavourful. The design is for braising which allows for more tender meat. It also makes the presentation of the food alot nicer, when serving from this. The enameled cast iron ensures that heat is evenly distributed and retained.

Because of it's simple look, it blends in but can also be used as a bit of functional decor. It also makes it unbreakable which is a handy feature in our household.

The enameled cast iron base is heavy and well casted. No defects, cracks in enamel or missed spots of enamel.

Cleaning is a breeze. It comes with a cleaning scraper.

Cons

The enameled surface is already chipped. It is raw cast iron that requires seasoning. Would not buy this one again.

The condensation drips down the inside and returns to the bottom via the lip of the base.

My boyfriend sat this down on the counter when going to check the beef & it shattered into two pieces so its not useable any more.

Great price for a new beginner pot.

For the price, this is a really nice tagine!

Overall though it a great value for a pot that you can tell is gonna last a long time given that you treat it with care and love.

I got the tagine and it is still intact.

Pictured is when i cooked a lamb shank with preserved lemons, sliced onions, dates, prunes, golden raisins and moroccan spices.

It came securely packed in a giftable box, so it would be great as a housewarming or wedding gift.

Competitiveness

This kook tangine cooks as good or better than the clay tangines in morocco.

I have used cast-iron dutch ovens before and this experience was very similar.
