Pros

Worked amazing as a lightning sim on halloween. Just does as advertised which is pretty cool. It really steps up your display a few notches.

The perfect storm paired with a bluetooth speaker and cheap 120v led light (all sold separately) makes a cool thunderstorm look. Used the soundtrack provided for thunder. Literally plug and play.

Cons

It listens to a cd and flashes lights on when thunder occurs on disc. The microphone is terrible. The rear power outlet gets no power regardless of the sensitivity knob or how loud i make the sound.

Totally impressed with the ease of set up.

Bought this for halloween for the lightning effect, very satisfied.

Unfortunately i wasn’t able to capture the main night we used this and someone messed with the settings.

I ended up going to the music store provided my the manufacturer of my phone and purchasing thunderstorm soundtracks to use with the unit.

Packaging/appearance

Used the 120v plug with factory stereo and the onboard mic to trigger a bunch of led lights we had strung up in the trunk.

Competitiveness

I used dimmable led flood lights with it for a faster response.

Managed to find a few dimmable led floodlights with a total wattage far below the rating of this tool.

The sound comes from a full-size yamaha receiver and rock speakers being fed by my cellphone.

I ended up purchasing a second unit.
