Terry pratchett is one of my favorite authors. This is the first book in the discworld series that he has produced a cohesive work. The only thing that kind of bugs me is that he did not use chapters. I love terry pratchett.

I find myself laughing out loud and sometimes groaning too. Very entertaining, while still being thought provoking. I do find myself tapping into the darker elements of the novels.

Mort" is the first of the "grim reaper" novels. The grim reaper is the main character of this book. Mort is a bit blander of a character, but still likable as the hapless everyman.

This is the first book of neil gaiman where in the end i got misty eyed. It starts you near the end of the book.

Death hires an everyman (or everyboy) named mort, an apprentice who takes over as grim reaper for a little while. Mort is a young man from a farming village who's absolutely useless on the farm, and so is sent off to be apprenticed.
