It actually makes the laptop slightly easier to open this is a minor problem with this macbook because it is so thin

Note that the illustrations here on amazon suggest that the apple logo will be visible even with the case installed however the 12 macbook does not have an illuminated logo so that is really not applicable for this model

And since the logo does not illuminate and the case does not incorporate a cutout to allow the logo to be seen it should be noted that the logo is therefore covered when this case is in place

It also unexpectedly came with a matching colored keyboard protector that looks awesome but does have its quirks

As soon as i opened it the matte finish got dirty and so theres little stains on it that wont come off
