I have not i admit tried one of those hard shell things and i havent found what id really love a silicone shell that is as thick as my silicone oven mitt and hugs the mbp body like my phone cover does yet leaving it free to close properly

At first i didnt like that the bottom corners didnt secure like the top corners do

There are flaps that theoretically cover the zippers to prevent them from scratching or damaging your laptop but the functionality is negligible

Also there are only two plastic straps that hold the screen in place and while they have not broken i am almost waiting for it to happen
