Pros & Cons
Pros
Great replacement part for my 3v 5. Remember to use the proper torque on the bolts when installing, due to the aluminum block. Fits perfect on my f150 5. Great replacement for my heritage f-150.
Cons
Item listed as genuine motorcraft. This poser has none, the box has a sticker over a sticker and the covered sticker is not genuine.
Highlights
Quality
Great product, oem tensioner fits up perfectly and installs easily.
Still holding up with no squeaks or other issues 30k later.
Had a strange noise coming from the front of the engine that almost sounded like a vacuum leak.
Fixed broken unit on my 2001 f150 4 x 4
Price
Great motorcraft product at a fraction of the dealer price.
Works perfect and half the cost that the dealership charges.
The dealer wanted double the price why not save money if its the same part.
Since i don’t trust mechanics i changed the belt tensioner and a pulley for about 30$ and problem solved.
Packaging/appearance
The package was a little damage but part wasnt.
Competitiveness
I would love nothing more than to buy usa made everything but unfortunately that's not the world we live in anymore
