Pros

This is the easiest, fastest, and most comprehensive wifi router i've setup. The phone app is quirky, but that is not a deal breaker.

Replaced a 5 yr old modem/router. Much faster than my previous modem and router combination. Went from 77mb to 352mb immediately on speed test. Back to the page you came from.

It's rock solid. It is pricey, but worth every penny.

The specs of the mg8702 looked quite good. When close to the router, we get about 450-460 mbps on our mobile devices. We only have 300 mbs service, as it is all we need.

Cons

Constantly connects and disconnects. Appliances lose connection, and then can't reconnect. When i split the ghtz it should have given me the option on the app because now everytime i go to the app to assign a name to the new device connected, it rever... Read More

I believe that the motorola device is defective. Was unable to get any help via chat from motorola. Support isn't great, and the product longevity leaves something to be desired.

Not the isp, not the cabling, the modem has problems. Picture quality diminished on the tv, and showed signs of buffering. Partly the fault of the internet provider. The wifi connection however is absolute garbage.

We hardly ever have to reset the wifi like we did before and hardly ever buffing so it supports the high speed.

We had a power surge somehow get past our surge protector and scramble it up once, but with a hard reset everything was good to go.

There's something about the wireless stack that hangs this device up after months of use by a lot of devices.

Price

Much better than paying a monthly rental fee.

Over $200 is a bit of a stretch for this, but at least it works how we want it to.

The price easily goes up about $40 every time we need to re-purchase the next one, which is the only reason i dropped a star.

Product arrived on time and was easy to setup.
