Highlights
Quality
Especially with digital cable boxes this booster has helped boost the signal to places further down the line and kept the quality intact.
Surge protector a must with this product.
So i would not hold it against the product.
Good product, works well, make sure your usage meets the specs on the device, if they are not spec-compatible, you may have problems.
Shipping
Only complaint i have was the shipping.
Also, amazon rocks for shipping this a day early (ordered on a friday, got it on the following monday) on free shipping.
I didn't even have to pay shipping costs.
Competitiveness
5 db at every 2-way splitter, 7 db at a 4-way splitter, 11 db at an 8-way splitter, and 5db for every 100 ft of rg6 cable.
I orinially purchased a 'winegard anwi8700 winegard ap signal amplifier' and had major problems with it (see my review of it there).

You now know the strength that would be coming out the splitter going to the tv side cable length can affect this as well but i think 100 ft is only a 5 db loss

At this point determine where in the circuit would be the ideal place to amplify the signal by 15db where all the tvs in the circuit would fall within the range of 10 db to 10db

Some people will tell you to always to place it right after the initial split coming into the house but that is because they are either to lazy or too ignorant to draw up the circuit on paper to actually determine the correct place to put it

It would have cost a lot of money to rewire my house
