Pros

Upgrade from moto g5 after much comparing and research. Have yet to put the sim and sd cards in. This thing is superman compared to my old g5. G and 4g is great, picks up 5g wherever it occurs. I like it much more than the g30's.

Most people will be satisfied with the result. The camera is brilliant. Big screen makes reading stuff easy.

The g50 charger out of the box is slower. Comes with a rapid charger for fast charging, tho i've always used the standard charger.

In our new covid-infested world it doesn’t really matter i suppose. Rugged and sturdy.

The fingerprint reader on the back of this thing is superb for usability. The fingerprintreader is fast and the handset does support facial recognition. Long battery life, excellent fingerprint reader.

Cons

North american version of the g50 sold in the uk (albiet with the same model sku designation as a phone bought in the usa), is not forward compatable with some of the large north american netoworks such at&t. Sadly, there is an issue that means it... Read More

It doesn't have wireless charging, face recognition and is only 4g.

Great for price, does what i need a phone to do.

Don't be fooled by samsung or apple trying to pretend £1000 is reasonable - you're being taken for an idiot.

At the price it is a good phone.

One final note is i personally really like the shimmery style of the back- i like it much more than the g30's.

This phone is so unbelievably underrated and frankly much more worth your money than all the big brand phones would have you believe.

I'd argue the battery doesn't last as long as the g30 since the chipset is more powerful, and therefore more power-hungry.
