Pros
The only thing i'd complain about is the battery life. The weather radio feature is a great feature too. This walkie-talkie is excellent for kids with water sport.
Cons
Not worth using after realizing the true range is about 1 mile. Doesn't send/recieve anything when more than 1 mile apart. It also picks up lots of chatter on the same frequencies.
The range is worthless for anything else. It is unsafe and irresponsible to claim range like this and not expect people to be in dangerous situations and not be able to communicate. Yep, steer clear of these.
Highlights
Quality
The quality and performance of these radios is what i expect from a motorola product.
Easy to use, great sound quality, good range for road trip caravan, and worked well for music festival where cell service was limited.
Competitiveness
And we all made it back safely :) battery life was fine because we turned them off when we weren’t hiking or on the lake.
