Reference above that food requires boiling water therefore it requires a heat source to boil the water

Now be careful opening the box the pouches are in there but right up at the top and face up so careless use of a box cutter or knife will slice the top pouch wide open

Id say think of these boxes as a base upon which to build an emergency food plan but dont rely on it exclusively
