Pros

Overall, these are good for backpacking and home storage but it's not something i would purchase except to take on camping type activities. These are quick, tasty. Great for camping and hiking.

This is a pretty tasty meal once you make it you just can't follow the instructions to make it. This is real food, really cooked, and the freeze dried. I feel like their meals are the iconic meal for backpacking.

This pouch contains 2 servings but you must make it all at once. The entire pouch is 580 calories and is filling. For mac and cheese, this has 36 grams of protein per pouch.

Preparing the product is terribly simple though this one seems to require more stirring to loosen the clumps of powder. Total preparation time on the trail is about 20 minutes, depending on how long it takes to boil water.

Cons

The pouches are heavy and difficult to dispose of while out in the wilderness. The taste is forgettable. Of the bags were not glued at top and was spilled out in shipping box.

So much better than many of the other brands out there.

We have tried a variety of emergency/freeze-dried food brands, and mountain house is consistently the best tasting imo.
