If you arent familiar with mountain house freeze dried meals you pour boiling water into the envelope stir seal the envelope and wait for the number of minutes directed on the package

The uses are myriad planned meals when time is short ad hoc meals when weather or other conditions make normal food preparation too difficult and especially hiking when weight is the predominant issue

However they are quite expensive for a pretty small portion leaving you gnawing on jerky or trail mix the rest of the night
