Pros & Cons
Pros
You are exhausted, battered and queasy - this is the meal you want. The calorie count is slightly lower than other meals. However, it's not really much of a downside and allows you to mix things up in your backpacker/survival foods pantry.
Cons
Mountain house isn't flavorful to begin with and the primavera is worse than the rest. Doesn't rehydrate well either. Very bland and not much cheese taste.
Highlights
Quality
4 star for taste, light weight and long lasting.
The very best dehydrated meal i had while backpacking in the santa fe wilderness.
First of all i absolutely hate processed foods.

Price
I bought this because it was on sale and it was actually pretty good.
These are great tasting meals at a reasonable price.
If you click on the packs you’ll be charged $64.
49 a pack but it seems like the price is back up on par with the other meals around $10 or so.
Packaging/appearance
Took this on a back packing trip and this was really really surprisingly good.
The only thing that could make this better is if the package was twice as big!
I bought the previous packaging of this but i assume the recipe is the same.
If you wanna get fancy maybe pack a little red pepper flake.
Competitiveness
Taste good on par with other major brands.
Some competitive brands more suitable salt content for older age hikers/campers.
Really, the only downside is that the calorie count is slightly lower than other meals.

If you travel anywhere there is sudden snow or anything else that can cut you off or slow you down or cause detours or where there is no cell service it is prudent to have enough survival material to be comfortable not just to survive

However because it is a vegetarian option i wanted to add protein given the needs of my trip so i added some dehydrated sausage

The combination did not distract from the original flavor and texture even without adding extra water

I wish they made more vegetarian options
