Changes to the latest design slight plasticky feel to the material whereas the previous one was more of a very fine canvas the side mesh pockets are longer meaning things are less likely to fall out zipped pockets on the support straps now an improvement id like to see would be duel zips on the smaller front pocket

I dont stay very well so cannot use this to its full potential as i can at best only do the equivalent of a dog walk and not very often

I tried several rucksacks on in a mountain warehouse shop before deciding to buy this one off of amazon and i would encourage you to do the same as for some strange reason most of the 2030l ones that i tried on didnt fit at the shoulders

Its obviously 5l bigger but its the metal insert at the back that provides the air flow that adds the weight and i did notice that although if you are fit and heathly you probably wouldnt notice at all

Im not sure that you would want to cut off the hip belt if you were carrying it for a days walk a hill walk or if you were clambering over rocky terrain but as my walks are so short it doesnt matter

A snack and a tissue can be easily reached from the net pockets on the outside of the rucksack and if need be an os map can be fitted into one of the internal pockets
