There are 3 useful pockets the biggest at the back can hold a pair of jeans a sweater a couple of t shirts nightwear and undies ally would need for a couple of nights away

There are a couple of pockets on the side for water bottles etc and there are straps you can tighten to flatten the pack a little providing the contents are softish so it cn go on a train overhead rack

First there is a little gap in the fabric surrounding the extendable handle so if its raining water can get into the main compartment so be careful and pack something waterproof at the top if you are planning to roll this in the rain

The second thing that could be improved is there is no way to clip the straps around your chest when carrying as a backpack for extra support which is not ideal

It’s pretty sturdy and seems water resistant as i’ve had it out in the rain a few times and the inside has remained dry
