Pros & Cons
Pros
It's firmer--at first--than a well-known competitor who follows an anachronistic lifestyle. It softens quickly and smoothly when you scoop it out. The scent isn't over powering and it moisturizes my glorious beard. It keeps your skin under the beard m... Read More
The beard balm keeps the wild hairs in place and makes my beard look professionally groomed. It uses all natural ingredients and is made in usa, unlike some of the similar looking balms on here that are lowkey made in china.
Cons
No fullness whatsoever. Smells like rotten apples, chemicals with a hint of pine. This is one balm i will only be able to use sparingly if at all. It's almost like the ingredients spoiled or went bad.
Highlights
Quality
Best product i have ever used, my beard has never been this soft!
It has a pleasing scent, great holding power for all day use, and feels good on the skin.
The tin is too small and runs out too quickly
This product is so mentholly pungent that it has the effect of actually making my eyes burn a bit, and causing them to water.
Price
I can tell this is the natural real deal, because i don’t get a headache or redness when we cuddle.
Packaging/appearance
Looks angelic even, i use the pine tar scent.
Competitiveness
I have tried numerous other brands, mountaineer is the best hands down.
The lime, sage, bergamot is so fragrant and i get compliments on the scent more than any other product i use.
I bought this balm thinking it was unscented since i am tired of all the various scented brands.
That competitor i mentioned has a textured rim on the lid and a screw-top close, which helps a lot.

It may seem strong at first but quickly dissipates to a faint but masculine scent that would be nearly undetectable except to maybe yourself and anyone who gets real close to your face please remain 6ft away from me at all times for the foreseeable future though
