It sits very comfortably on my back and hips but i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the shoulder straps are very scratchy

It could also be improved with some grommets on the bottom of the pack in case something leaks

I ordered this fully expecting it to be a single season field backpack that would face abuse as a work pack during a summer wildlife technician position

Since the zipper moves up straight for a ways before curving slightly at an odd angle it can be unwieldy to zip

Another issue is the water bottle mesh on the sides does not hold typical liter nalgene bottles very securely
