After opening it did have a couple of marks that made me think it was used before. I still give this a good rating, because it works pretty good for the most part, and i only paid a few bucks for it. What topped it off for me is the customer service.

Really sharp blade, easy to use. Best little tool they've came up with since scissors, seriously. Scissor blade is very sharp.

This little material cutter is a godsend for me. Use for cuttin paper squares & strips.

Great value rotary tool and i really like the grip trigger to lower the blade over many of the other brands with a thumb slider. Prefer this than my x-acto knife. The rotary cutter is excellent and made well.
