Pros & Cons
Pros
The stripping edges look really sharp but have an angle that should hold the sharp edge for a good while. I like that the carbon steel is very durably sharp. The cutter is very sharp and easy to use. Being someone that used knives most of the time to ... Read More
The indicators are well stamped and easy to read. It is easy to use, had all the markings and sizes for the wire gauges to strip them properly and it cuts through wire easily if needed. It allows you to measure the wires you’re working with, and i got... Read More
It reliably does what i needed it to. Nothing beats a great stripper that works as it should. It performs that just fine for what i have needed it for so far.
For diy or occasional use they are fine. The grips are well insulated, good size and weight. Only gripe is i have large hands and these things not as comfortable as the professional brand.
These are the best deal going right now if you need a stripping and crimping tool. The crimper works well too. Perfect crimp, nice and tight, no problem.
Cons
Purchased solely to shear screws. Stick with klein, milwaukee, southtool, or even harbor freight is better than this *.
Highlights
Quality
Pen’s wire stripper is a quality build product.
This tool works great, has multiple gauge choices, feels well made, and did the work fast and without excess stripping of electrical wires.
There is no spring to help open the scissor action, it is all up to manual movement when working.
His tools were stolen while off work on medical prescriptions and the company wouldn’t replace them.
Price
They're still freaking amazing for the price.
This works just fine and the price was very reasonable.
Bought for a in vehicle kit so i didn't want to spend much.
For the price, i would buy again.
Packaging/appearance
Pen wire strippers, i included photos of when i unpacked it along with using the tool.
They arrived in simple packaging, as many tools do, they were zip-tied to a cardboard card.
Competitiveness
This tool works just as fine as more expensive brand name ones.
Its better quality than the ones i've been buying at the local large chain hardware stores.
Also, this is stripper is on the heavy side compared to others i have used.
