Pros

The only con i can think of is that with the board speaker installed, it does not beep when it posts. The board is good for the money and the bios switch is a nice touch when trying to find a stable oc.

Review is for the x299 gaming pro carbon. The dual lan networking capability is super fast, but i had to buy an external dongle to use wi-fi. The dual network adapter is a nice touch.

Cons

Usb port on the motherboard stopped working with my ‘logitech g9’ mouse back in september 2018. Ordered 3, got one with a faulty cpu socket. Other 2 are very faulty, they read only 6 out of 8 sata ports are working 1 & 5 don't work on both.

Been through this kind of rebate scam many times. Almost everytime any company promotes a rebate game, i really hesitate buying their products. I won't get fooled again.

This thing is the worst motherboard i have ever used in 25+ years of building computers. Because it is * slow. Is like they are trying to simplify everthing.

Good mb, all necessary sockets and add-on's, nice overclocking features

Plenty of connectability, ease of installation, good instruction book, bios that's easy to use.

It does not help with cooling, only strength of the actual motherboard.

Even usong the fast boot utility, it doesnt got faster than before.

I contacted the seller, saying i was going to return it without even opening the box.

Competitiveness

I have tried other x299 boards and this one had no issue.

I used to use asus mobos but after having to deal with their very weak customer service i decided to jump ship to a different manufacturer.

To me, this board is way more substantial than the other choice in the market right now.
