Installed a 5600x in it the tomahawk b450 max ii i received already had the bios for compatibility with 5000 series box actually stated it but updated it anyway

Updating the bios can take a good 5 minutes do not rush it once it flashes red

If you are looking for a new cpumobo i would wait for the new amd cpus as they will come with a new socket type

Whilst amds site currently says b450 will support this chip history can prove otherwise and it will be down to msi to update their bios for compatibility
